Learning Environment Specialist helping school districts across AZ, CO, NM, UT, and WY plan modern, effective classrooms.

Before a school district makes a single furniture purchasing decision, Drew works directly with facilities teams, educators, and leadership to translate their teaching goals into actionable space planning. As an EDmarket Certified Learning Place Specialist (ECLPS), he operates as an advisor who bridges the gap between educational theory and the physical environment, collaborating closely with architects and local dealers to ensure the right solutions are chosen for the right spaces.

Experience Grounded in Operations

Drew’s interest in learning environments grew from a family background in architecture and early childhood care. However, his authority in the K-12 furniture space isn’t just theoretical; it’s hands-on.

He began his career at MiEN in the warehouse, mastering the daily operations of product manufacturing, logistics, and delivery before advancing into sales and consultative design. Because he knows how the products are built from the ground up, he is uniquely equipped to advise districts on the durability, functionality, and lifecycle of their investments.

How Drew Supports School Districts

Backed by his rigorous 10-month ECLPS credentialing, Drew challenges the replication of outdated, traditional classroom layouts. Instead of simply catalog-selling, he helps districts by:

  • Evaluating classroom layouts: Analyzing existing spaces to see how the physical environment impacts student focus and wellness.
  • Translating teaching models into furniture plans: Applying universal design principles to create highly flexible environments tailored to diverse student needs.
  • Managing implementation: Leading complex projects, aligning district stakeholders, and coordinating with dealers to ensure a seamless rollout from concept to installation.

Student-Centered Design in Action

Drew believes in bringing students directly into the design process. This approach is best exemplified by his work with the Blue Springs Business Accelerator.

Over several months, Drew visited the high school weekly to facilitate a project-based learning program. He taught the students about the spatial design process and empowered them to conceptualize and design their own state-of-the-art esports lab using MiEN products. Beyond specific district projects, Drew consistently volunteers his time to share insights on learning space design and career paths with local students through the Boys and Girls Club.

Credentials & Background

Recently named an EDmarket NexGen Rising Star, Drew brings both validated expertise and a modern perspective to educational design.

A proud Michigan native who now travels extensively across his western territory, Drew is an avid outdoorsman who naturally gravitates to the landscapes of his region, whether he’s skiing in Colorado or hiking local trails. When he’s on the road, you can usually find him listening to science and sports podcasts or channeling his lifelong love of music by playing the guitar. Currently engaged and planning his upcoming wedding, Drew deeply values family and looks forward to this next exciting chapter.
