Tauri™
Student seating that supports the next generation of thinkers by empowering choice, comfort and movement.
Patent Pending

Designed with Intention
The Tauri Chair’s innovation lies in its intuitive, multi-function ergonomic design that addresses the reality of how students sit and learn. Traditional chairs force a single, static posture, but Tauri’s unique winged armrests and flexible shell are engineered for both forward-facing engagement and a supportive reverse-seated position.
When backwards, the wings activate pressure points in the torso, creating a comforting, hug-like enclosure. This solves the challenge of providing discreet sensory support within a universal design learning environment, subsequently focusing on inclusivity and meeting the needs of all diverse learners. Furthermore, these wings allow for hanging a backpack, reducing clutter and eliminating trip hazards.
Unlike any other chair, Tauri combines active ergonomics, built-in sensory support, and practical classroom management into one elegant, versatile form that is easily reconfigured or recycled.
The Tauri Chair directly impacts student well-being by empowering them with choice and comfort, which are foundational to learning. For students requiring sensory input, sitting in the chair backwards provides calming proprioceptive feedback, helping them self-regulate, reduce anxiety, and improve focus without leaving their desk.
This inclusive feature promotes emotional security and cognitive readiness, and the reverse position also provides crucial trunk support for disabled students with low muscle tone. For all students, the chair’s flexible, ergonomic design reduces physical distraction, allowing for deeper engagement with lessons.
By providing a designated space for backpacks, Tauri creates more organized and accessible learning environments for both students and educators, which fosters a community atmosphere of respect, safety, and a shared readiness to learn.
