Tyler Pellerito Headshot '24

At MiEN Company, our mission is to create innovative, functional, and flexible furniture solutions for evolving learning environments. We are fortunate to have a team of dedicated individuals who work hard every day to position MiEN as a leader in learning space design and innovation.

Today, we’re highlighting Tyler Pellerito, who is passionate about creating dynamic educational environments and has been a valuable member of the MiEN team since October 2021. Currently, Tyler serves as MiEN’s regional account manager overseeing the Northeast U.S.: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Professional Background

A graduate of Davenport University, Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus on sports management. Athletics have always been an interest of his, and in college he played both baseball and soccer. Tyler is not only a dedicated MiEN employee, but he also is an active member of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE). By staying connected with industry organizations like A4LE, Tyler is able to keep up to date with the latest innovative educational solutions.

Favorite MiEN Project

One of Tyler’s favorite experiences at MiEN has been his involvement in the Long Beach High School Media Center. First and foremost, Tyler has an appreciation for the flexible and versatile space they were able to create using MiEN products like the BRB+ Flip-Top Training Table and the KIO Tinker Table. With these multipurpose furnishings, the school will be able to reconfigure the space in different ways, both now and in the future. Additionally, Tyler loved how the blue color palette and the library’s beautiful ocean view came together to create a space with a calming atmosphere. Notably, he thought the monochromatic soft seating and light colors throughout were a nice touch to mirror the beach environment outdoors.

Inspiration at MiEN

Tyler is inspired by the enthusiastic educators and school staff he meets when working on projects. He finds it incredibly rewarding to connect with staff to identify their educational environment needs, then see the joy and excitement they experience when the new furniture arrives, and they are finally able to start using it. Tyler is grateful for the positive feedback and stories from educators who share about how they and the students are using the furniture and the positive impact it’s had.

Tyler’s favorite MiEN products include the STAR Chair and Stool, the SLICE Student Desk, and the Chameleon Lounge series. Both the STAR Chair and STAR Stool have a unique look and style in comparison with a standard classroom chair, plus they are comfortable and versatile. Notably, the STAR series can hold backpacks, which Tyler appreciates because this keeps students from having to put backpacks on the floor where they would get dirty and become a hazard. Furthermore, the SLICE Student Desk is a top pick of Tyler’s, as it has both left and right handed utility and is ADA accessible with its curved PAL Legs. Tyler also loves the Chameleon Lounge series––this modular, high-quality soft seating works in all educational environments, as well as commercial spaces.

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Tyler is a sports enthusiast––he loves to play golf and enjoys watching a wide range of sports, including football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. Because he grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, Tyler is a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, rooting for the Browns, Cavaliers, and Guardians. He also cheers on the Detroit Lions and was excited to watch the Lions and Browns both make the playoffs this past season. Furthermore, he loves watching European soccer, particularly the English Premier League.

Tyler Pellerito’s passion for engaging with educators and creating innovative and unique educational spaces make him a valuable asset to the MiEN family. We’re honored to have Tyler on our team, and we look forward to the continued positive influence he will provide to our clients and projects in the future.
