At MiEN Company, creating innovative, functional, and flexible furniture solutions for evolving learning environments is central to our mission. We are fortunate to have a team of dedicated individuals who work hard every day to position MiEN as a leader in learning space design and innovation.

Today, we’re highlighting Kevin Foote, MiEN’s regional sales director overseeing the West Coast. Kevin is a knowledgeable education professional who is passionate about creating learning environments that put students first. He started his role at MiEN in April 2025, and we’re excited to have him join our team.

Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Education in educational administration from Grand Canyon University. One of his most notable college experiences was getting to work with the special education department of a local school district.

As a lifelong learner, Kevin has dedicated extensive time to professional learning opportunities. He is a certified teacher and principal and spent his first decade post-grad working as a K-12 educator and instructional leader. Kevin is an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP), and he is an active member of A4LE (the Association for Learning Environments), EDmarket, and the Arizona Association of School Business Officials (AASBO).

Although Kevin has only recently begun his role with MiEN, he has long admired MiEN’s work from his other positions in the learning space industry. His favorite MiEN project is the Valley Christian Schools media center transformation. Kevin is familiar with the customer and the high school, which was actually his high school’s rival back in the day.

When Kevin first saw the school’s completed transformation, he admired how MiEN was able to convert a traditional media center into a vibrant student union. Kevin was inspired by the way collaborative and flexible MiEN furniture really turned the space into a modern and technology-forward environment for engagement and connection.

Kevin takes inspiration from people who are passionate about their work, put students first, and give back to the communities in which they work. He has been lucky to work alongside so many talented people who have inspired him to continue his personal growth in these areas.

Kevin’s favorite MiEN products include the STAR Chair, 2G2BT with HMU side table, and FLEX Steps. He believes these products are some of MiEN’s most unique and functional offerings, highlighting the innovation that MiEN is bringing to the industry. With his background in education and passion for creating spaces where every student can thrive, Kevin is inspired to use these cutting-edge designs in his own projects.

When he isn’t working, Kevin is spending time with family, keeping up with his favorite sports teams, and pursuing his hobbies. As a third generation Arizona native, he is a fan of the ASU Sun Devils, Phoenix Suns, and Arizona Diamondbacks. Kevin is particularly passionate about baseball: he played the sport for many years, all three of his sons play competitively, and he has been coaching since 2005. His youngest daughter enjoys ice skating and oldest, being a new mommy.

Kevin has traveled to many beautiful places, but his favorite vacation spots are St. Lucia, San Diego, Pinetop-Lakeside in Arizona, and Lake Tahoe. His favorite hobbies are listening to history podcasts and both watching and performing stand-up comedy. He also takes pleasure in cooking and hosting parties to spend quality time with his family and friends.

Kevin’s family means the world to him, and he’s been married to his wife Karina for 25 years. They have five children, ranging from ages 8 to 23, one grandchild, a mini Australian Shepherd, and two cats.
